SY 9223-439 – Broadband Transformer 1:2
The SY 9223-439 transformer causes a voltage transformation Uin / Uout = 1 / 2 and is designed for operation with hand-held field coil – e.g. FESP 5132 when performing tests according to IEC 61000-4-39. For this purpose, the field coil must be excited with the signal voltage of over 60 Vrms at 134 kHz to reach the field strength of 65 A/m.

Other applications in the frequency range up to 1… 3 MHz are possible.

The signal source is a signal generator connected to an audio amplifier with very low output resistance (e.g. LFPA 9733).

The SY 9223-439 reduces the requirements for audio amplifiers. The amplifier with the transformer connected to its output only needs to reach half the voltage required for the field coil.

The amplifier or field coil can be connected to the SY 9223-439 using a 4 mm safety jacks.
