The VHF-LISN serves as a defined RF-termination device at the EuT’s mains cable during the radiated disturbance measurement. There are two VHF-LISN types available: the balanced VHF-LISN (VHFB 8801) and the unbalanced VHF-LISN (VHFU 8802), which can be used as an alternative to the CMAD (common mode absorption device).
The balanced VHF-LISN presents the same impedance to each terminal of the EUT’s AC mains power cable (symmetrical), resulting in a balanced load. This device complies with the standard CISPR 16-1-4 / Ed. 5
