The Calibration Kit 8158 can be used to measure the most relevant parameters of an ISN NTFM 8158 or an ISN of this series like e.g. CAT5 8158 or CAT3 8158. Depending on the measuring task, adapters are necessary in between the device connectors and the analyzer which is most commonly performed in 50 Ω technique. In some cases impedance matching is required. If required the matching elements are included in the adapters.

Especially for the measurement of the LCL of an ISN of the NTFM 8158 series the LCL calibration kit PB58 is provided.
The normative basic principles for the measurement of ISN’s are described in CISPR 22 and CISPR 16-1-2.
For the measurements a vector network analyzer (VNA) is recommended.
