The electromagnet AGEM 5520 can generate extremely high magnetic field strengths of up to 2.2 Tesla for experimental applications. Depending on the required magnetic flux density and the equipment under test volume, the air gap can be adjusted continuously. The magnet poles have a conical shape near the test volume to improve accessibility and optimize the achievable magnetic flux density. The locking of the magnet poles is achieved using hand levers. Their position relative to their thread can be changed if needed. To simplify the air gap spacing adjustment, plastic spacers are supplied, providing easy and repeatable settings of 6 different spacings, from 15 mm to 40 mm in 5 mm steps.
