SW 9606 – Current Injection Clamp

SW 9606 - Current Injection Clamp
SW 9606 – Current Injection Clamp
The SW 9606 Current Clamp was designed to inject RF-currents into conductors or conductor bundles with a maximum diameter of 23 mm. It is compliant to CISPR 16-1-2 or DIN EN 55016-1-2 respectively. The conversion ratio is 1 : 0.125 (I = 0,125 U), i.e. the transfer impedance is 8 Ohm. The insertion loss in a 50-Ohm-System is 16 dB.

In case of current injection a voltage of 8 µV across the BNC connector of the SW 9606 will cause a current injection of 1 µA into the conductor bundle, i.e. 18 dBµV at the BNC connector will cause 1 dBµA current injection into the conductor. The clamp can also be used below the nominal frequency range. In this case the frequency dependent transducer provided in the diagram has to be taken into account. The low insertion loss allows the measurement of very low limits with sufficient sensitivity.
