CA 9608 – Universal Calibration Jig for Current Clamps
The Calibration Jig CA 9608 is used to measure the transducer of current clamps up to 500 MHz acc. to CISPR 16-1-2, MIL-STD-461D or ISO 11452-4. Alternatively the CA 9608 can be used to characterize ferrite materials (e.g. clamping ferrites, toroids, ferrules) or any other passive disturbance supression components as described in CISPR 17.

For calibrations of current transformers there is additional equipment required, a coaxial termination resistor and e.g. a network analyser, a spectrum analyser with tracking generator or a signal generator with a receiver.

The calibration fixture comes with two N-female connectors, each of them is equipped with a high quality 4 mm banana plug to accept the inner conductor of the fixture. The CA 9608 comes with knurled-head screws at both sides, which allows a fast opening without any tools. This is especially useful for “push-through” current transformers, which can not be clamped or opened. The height of the inner conductor is variable, this provides a wide range of possible current transformer sizes up to 86 mm diameter to be calibrated with a single adapter. A longer inner conductor is available on request in order to calibrate current transformers of up to 90 mm width.
