The radiation source RS 9244 complies to CISPR 25 Edition 4, which proposes the “Long Wire Antenna” and is used asreference source to evaluate the suitability of absorber lined shielded enclosures (ALSE) according to the “Long Wire Antenna method”. The RS 9244 consists of an 500 mm long horizontal brass rod with an diameter of 4mm. This brass rod is held by two aluminium brackets at a height of 50 mm above analuminium ground plane. The size of this ground plane is 150 mm x 700 mm. For the “long wire antenna method” a 10 dB (50 Ohm) attenuator (eg. Schwarzbeck DGA 9552 N) and a 90° angle connector between the source cable an the RS 9244 is neccessary.
