The low noise impedance matching equipment VHIC 9260 features a high impedance input with minimized capacity. With its 50 Ω output, it can be used with common EMI receivers or spectrum analyzers to measure emissions received by an antenna on a vehicle in the frequency band from 9 kHz to 120 MHz.
A rod antenna or a capacitive voltage probe can be used as the signal source. Its excellent linearity allows for precise measurements of the limits specified in CISPR 25. The VHIC 9260 is equipped with two BNC connectors for RF input and output.
To measure the noise floor in the FM band, a 50 Ω load can be added to the input as described in CISPR 25. To avoid potential disturbances from a power supply, the unit is powered by eight rechargeable NiMH cells (1.2 V / 1900 mAh).
An optional suitable charger is available, with a typical operation time of about 50 hours and a charging time of 2-4 hours.
